This is a project to create a running pulsejet engine pushing around 70lbs of thrust on a lightweight frame. I started with absolutely nothing: no welding skills, materials, equipment or even a set of overalls. Hopefully, this may help others who may fancy building their own.
After picking up this shiny Triumph Daytona for an outrageously low price, I figured I'd document my progress in handling the beasty, and also post up some information on it that I have found to be somewhat tricky to come by.
Well, I've shamelessly borrowed some open-source blog code to slap in one of these fancy blog doohickeys. I'll be using this to document my progress on my forthcoming trip to aus and to keep in contact with those back home. The imbedded image here has also been flagrantly stolen from google image...
Progress on joe's Supercity 125. We've rebuilt the majority of the bike, and it seems to be Ok, although gear shifting is somewhat sloppy. Looks like it might need the whole block taking apart to straighten that up. Also, the big-end bearing is due a replacement at some stage, so this may be performed at the same time. A lot of work still needed!
Where we're up to with the Suzuki SJ410. This POS was bought for a few quid and we've tidied it up a bit.
Back in November 2005, I went on holiday to Thailand for a couple of weeks. Most days I managed to write an entry into a blog, which I then slapped onto this site.
